Former Area 51 workers to share secrets of the base
Some of the secret history of the Area 51 military base will be unveiled by a few of the men who worked there during the tense era of the Cold War.
The Groom Lake facility is likely the best known military base in the world, largely because of stories first broadcast on 8 News NOW in the late 80s.
The public is invited Friday night to hear from a few of the CIA employees who worked on top secret spy planes and other projects.
Also on the panel, the CIA's official historian, and the CIA gift shop will be open as well.
The event kicks off at 6 p.m. at the National Atomic Museum located at 755 E. Flamingo Road.
I-Team reporter George Knapp will be the moderator.
